Murmurs of the Spirit

A gently flowing river

warm as the sun-struck meadows

on a summer’s sleepy afternoon,

runs through the soul’s inner channels

with glorious peace.

The clock bends

beneath love’s eternal weight,

and space folds away

before the coming flood of divine romance.

Swept away in sapphire tides

to tender awakenings

beneath a shimmering canopy of gazing lights,

watching in luminous wonder

our rising.

Celestial fires

burn away dark desires

rumbling in canyons of lies and stormy mountains

titanic in their destruction–

like wispy, pale phantoms

they are consumed in a whisper.

Eternal music

in tongues angelic

sings within me,

and joy reigns.
